Gatherings

10/13/16 UPDATE: Prayer Gathering scheduled for Saturday, November 5 at the Avon Washington Township Library in Avon, IN at 10:00 a.m. (in the basement conference room). Our main focus this day will be prayers for our nation and the election. There will actually be early voting going on at the library that day as well. Timely. If you are in or near the area, please join us as we humble ourselves before God and seek His divine guidance and blessings on our country. You may bring bottled water into the library but no other drinks or food. The room is reserved under “Gather Around”. If you have any questions, leave me a comment and I will respond back to you. Thank you in advance for taking time out of your schedule to pray.

5/16/16 UPDATE: Our next community “gathering” is scheduled for Saturday, June 4, 2016. If you are in the Avon, Indiana area, we would love to have you join us. We will be meeting at the Avon Town Hall Park at 9:30 a.m. Bring your own lawn chair. When you enter the park, turn right and park your car. We will be on the hill to your right. If it is raining, we will meet under the shelter by the playground. Before we get down to the business of praying, my friend, Connie, will be blessing us with a talk on walking out your faith and seeing God all along the way. You will be encouraged and motivated – I promise! Hope you can join us!

p.s. Have you held any “gatherings”? Have you perhaps found someone with whom to share your walk and pray/encourage/hold each other accountable? If so, would you please post a comment/reply on this site and give a  brief testimony?

5/3/16 UPDATE: This past Saturday I hosted my first “gathering” in my home town. Looking back now, I realize I should have advertised it here on my blog. I’m still trying to figure things out with this new ministry God has brought to me. However, I did pray about it and have to believe that even with all of the attacks from the enemy, God had His way. After all, like someone told me – all it takes for prayer is one person and God. Truth for sure. We had some guest speakers to start us off and then shared a bit and got to the point of our gathering – PRAYER.
I want to give a personal “thank you” to Tanya, Angela, Teresa, Mandy, Pearl, Renita, Pam and Kitty. You ladies are THE BEST!!! You encourage me, inspire me, help hold me accountable to God, and are simply a blessing. I appreciate you all!
I will plan another “gathering” in our area maybe next month and will be sure to post it here so that if anyone is in the area, you can join us.
How about you? Are you “gathering around for God” with anyone? No better time to start than now.
I would love to hear your stories. Please post a comment. Also, if you have a prayer request or praise, post comments on those pages as well. We are all encouraged by each other’s testimonies. God Bless! Leslie

Acts 2:42 says, “They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”

It’s always been God’s plan that we live in relationships with one another. Are you meeting with others (maybe two of you, or groups). It’s always encouraging to hear how God is blessing with prayer, accountability and encouragement through our relationships with other women. Matthew 18:20 says, “For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.”

If you feel led to host a gathering in your community and invite others, you are welcome to post the information here. Maybe you are already meeting with one or more people. We would love to hear your testimony of God’s goodness through these relationships. You can share here.
